The breakast offered was good and vaue for money. I loved the bread and also kids loved the selection of muffins...very convenient to move around as the tram station is just within walking distance. This is a good location hotem as it's very near to all the places of interest and a safe place to stay... Souvenir shops plenty...and offer good discounts. Maybe the breakfast menu can rotate better choice coz we had scramble eggs with tomatoes everyday.... days stay. At least a different style of eggs served. Hotel toilet doors are a bit difficult to unlock...as spececially for my 6 yr old boy to manage. |

As there were no rooms in Ilkay Hotel, they send us to the Oriental Express two doors further. While waiting the room, we got tea and explanations of the area and hotel, and later porter showed the room and friendly talked with us. Hotel was very close from the old center and we did not have to use the public transport. Stuff was friendly. A bit noisy, but just a bit. |

Ilkay has a great location. It is a block from the tram stop which makes it easy to get around town and to the airport. The breakfast was good. The rooms are clean if spartan and the airconditioning works. Nice pillows. |

Great location, friendly staff. Is a great place to stay if this is your first trip to Istanbul, the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar, Railway Station are at walking distance. |

That I had a bad to rest in, water (cold and hot), toilet and the breakfast. That's about it. This hotel is ok for short trips and only if you spend no more than 6-8 hours (just the sleeping time). Ooooh, so many things. I would start with the fact that the there was a building site next to my window and every morning at 8 am that started to amuse us with the pneumatic drill. Joy joy happy happy. The bathroom ceiling was full of dankness, the elevator that was supposed to transport us from the 1st floor to the 3rd, was out of order after only one day. No way this is a three start hotel. |

Breakfast is good. Renovation at the lobby while the entire hotel should been closed. Knocking down walls, changing heating, installing doors, dusts everywhere, no seating at the lobby.... |
